A DemoFast demo starts as private. After reviewing it, you can make it public, share its viewer link, or embed the interactive player on a website.

Before publishing

Open the demo in the editor and complete a final review:

Select Save and wait for the toolbar to show Saved.
Choose Preview to open the authenticated preview in a new tab.
Move through every step using its markers and navigation controls.
Confirm that annotations do not hide important interface elements.
Check the opening context and final outcome.
Verify that screenshots contain no private, customer, or confidential data.

Preview works while a demo is private, so you can test the full experience before making it available to viewers.

Publish the demo

In the editor toolbar, select the Private visibility control. DemoFast changes it to Public and saves the visibility update along with the current steps and settings.

Once the demo is public, the editor displays Copy Link and Share controls. Public demos can be opened without signing in. If you later change the control back to Private, public viewer and embed access will stop.

Share a public link

You can copy a demo link in either of these ways:

In the editor, select Copy Link.
Select Share, then find Share Link and choose Copy.
From the dashboard, open the demo's more-actions menu, choose Share, and copy the link.

Paste the link into an email, sales message, help article, campaign, or other channel. Test the copied link in a private browser window to confirm that viewers can open it without your DemoFast session.

If the Share panel warns Demo is Private, return to the editor and change the visibility to Public before distributing the link.

Generate embed code

Embedding keeps the interactive demo on your web page so visitors can explore it without leaving the surrounding content.

Make the demo public.
Open Share from the editor or dashboard.
Find the Embed Code section.
Turn Autoplay on or off.
Turn Loop on or off.
Select Copy Code.
Paste the iframe into an approved custom HTML or embed block on your website.

DemoFast includes Autoplay and Loop in the embed URL when those options are enabled. Both are enabled by default in the Share panel.

Make the embed responsive

The copied iframe uses a full-width layout and a fixed height. When adding it to a responsive site, place it in a container that preserves the demo's 16:9 shape. A common implementation is:

<div style="position:relative;width:100%;aspect-ratio:16/9;">
  <iframe
    src="YOUR_DEMOFAST_EMBED_URL"
    title="Interactive demo of the reporting workflow"
    style="position:absolute;inset:0;width:100%;height:100%;border:0;"
    allowfullscreen>
  </iframe>
</div>

Replace YOUR_DEMOFAST_EMBED_URL with the URL from DemoFast's generated embed code. Always give the iframe a clear title that describes the walkthrough for screen-reader users.

Test the published experience

After adding the demo to its destination:

Open the public link or page while signed out of DemoFast.
Test the first interaction and complete the full path.
Check the embed on desktop and narrow mobile screens.
Confirm that autoplay and looping behave as intended.
Test keyboard navigation and fullscreen behavior.
Make sure the surrounding page explains what the demo shows.

Troubleshooting

The public link says the demo is private

Open the editor and confirm the visibility control reads Public. Wait for the update to save, then reload the link.

The Share controls are missing in the editor

The Copy Link and Share buttons appear in the editor after the demo is public. Change Private to Public first.

The embedded player is cropped

Remove fixed widths from the parent layout and use a responsive 16:9 container. Make sure the iframe fills that container in both dimensions.

My CMS removes the iframe

Use the CMS's supported embed or custom HTML block. If iframe markup is restricted, ask a site administrator to allow the DemoFast embed.

The embed does not reflect my latest edits

Return to the editor, save the demo, and refresh the page containing the embed. The same public and embed URLs continue to point to the updated demo.
